Reminiscent of those 8- and 16-bit video games that transported us to fantastic worlds, dreamlike environments, and dreamy settings not without danger. A perfect fusion of melancholy, fantasy and adventure.

Given that Warmonger is set in a kind of legendary and dark Stone Age, a regression to the origins of man when he fought for survival against unknown and destructive forces, its soundtrack must be composed of primitive rhythms, percussion, kettledrums, bells, horns, and guttural sounds.

In this regard, we cannot fail to recommend Paleowolf and his multi-platform project to create spiritual, shamanic, and prehistoric music that connects with the rituals of antiquity. Apart from the website he has a Patreon platform, a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, and a Spotify account where he adds all his creations (which are not few). My favorite is undoubtedly Cenozoic, an album that is available on his page for €3 (or more, if you want to voluntarily contribute extra to support his work) and whose download includes a PDF with information about prehistoric animals and a deck of 10 cards with matching totemic runes.

When it comes to inspiring music to listen to outside of the game, whether at work or painting miniatures, styles are as varied as individual tastes. Also Wardruna, with their heavy, guttural, and nostalgic Nordic folk music that speaks of the lost connection with the earth and the mythological beings that inhabited it.
