ENTERING WARMONGER
On this same website, you can download free rules in PDF format, as well as templates, cards, and all the material you need to start playing Warmonger.
You can also use any miniatures you have lying around at home, or painted for other games, to assemble a band determined to carve out a future for themselves in this nightmarish land outside of time.
So everything should go smoothly!
But even if you are a seasoned veteran of our other ruleset, Punkapocalyptic, with which this fantasy game shares many common elements in terms of rules and basic mechanics, there are enough changes to require something simpler than just diving right into the scenarios in the core book or a campaign.
Magic is one of the most notable new elements, as are the Runes of Doom that are drawn at the beginning of the game and have no equivalent in Punka (except for the POTS tournament side objective cards, but that’s another story and should be told another time). The action system is also quite different, as each miniature does not always have the same actions, but rather depends on how you use a pool of common Destiny Points.

For all these reasons, we have developed a shorter special scenario (three turns instead of six) with more achievable and intuitive objectives, which will normally be used in demonstration games at events.
This scenario is designed to be played with the basic 350-point warbands that come in each starter.
The special scenario Treading the Unholy Lands can be downloaded here. We hope this will make it easier for you to get started with our new rules and that you’ll get as hooked as we are.
